韓國觀光公社表示，將為外國遊客提供智能手機免費租用服務。當局將免費借出Galaxy Note 5手機，並提供免費數據及境內通話服務。
據韓國觀光公社指出，本月15至20日提出申請的人約達2500人。按申請者來源地來看，來自香港的人最多，佔41%，其後依次為台灣地區（27%）、馬來西亞（9.8%）、中國大陸（4.9%）。外國遊客可通過免費智能手機，利用各種旅游訊信息服務，最長有5天免費流量並在韓國境內通話。

提出申請，韓國觀光公社會將考慮申請者國籍、年齡、性別等，每周選出250人提供手機。租賃期間，遊客可免費使用5GB數據流量。SK電訊為該服務提供每日1GB的免費數據流量，韓國觀光公社通過手機軟件提供旅游訊息，三星電子則免費提供300部Galaxy Note 5手機用於租賃。
據預測，每周250名、每年約1.2萬名遊客將享受此優惠。SK電訊表示，希望該服務進一步提高訪韓外國遊客的旅游滿意度，為韓國服務產業發展作出貢獻。

SK Telecom, Samsung to provide free smartphone rentals for tourists: Report
SK Telecom will partner Samsung and the Korea Tourism Organization to provide a rental service to about 250 visitors a week, according to the Yonhap News Agency.
SEOUL: South Korean communications giant SK Telecom on Tuesday (Jan 26) announced it would launch a free smartphone rental service for foreign tourists to South Korea, Yonhap News Agency reported.
SK Telecom will partner Samsung and the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) under the "Enjoy Mobile Korea" programme to provide “the rental service to around 250 visitors a week arriving at Incheon International Airport”.
Visitors can sign up via the KTO website and “selected tourists will be given smartphones for up to five days free of charge”.
The report added that users will receive 1GB of data per day from SK Telecom on the latest Samsung devices, with the service expected to “benefit around 12,000 foreign tourists a year”.
The phones will reportedly have KTO’s VisitKorea app installed on them, providing tourist-related information in a number of languages.
An expected date for the service roll-out was not given.
