Menya Hanabi Nagoya

Came to “Menya Hanabi” for Taiwan Ramen when I traveled Nagoya. Taiwan Ramen is a specialty in Nagoya, but it can’t be found in Taiwan.
Nagoya’s Taiwan Ramen originated in the local ramen shop “Misen”, after Taiwanese manager visited Taiwan with his Japanese friend, his friend missed Taiwan’s “Dan Zai Mian” (noodles with spicy minced pork) very much, Taiwanese manager tried to use Japanese ramen for making Taiwan Ramen. It becomes one of the specialty food in Nagoya. Their signature is Taiwan Ramen without soup.
6-7 walk from Takabata subway station. Have to wait for dinner about half hour. Buy dinner from the selling machine, and the staff will arrange the seat.
I ordered their signature (Taiwan Ramen without soup). It has spicy minced pork, fish powder, scallions, leek, egg yolk, garlic and seaweed. Tasty but a bit too spicy for those who can’t eat spicy food. After eating the noodles you can ask the staff to add some rice to eat with the left spicy minced pork, I was too full, didn’t try the mixed rice.
