到曼谷前就一直很想來這家餐廳,環境跟菜式都很漂亮。所以之前到曼谷,就預先訂好這裡吃午餐。連續拿下好幾年的亞洲最佳50大餐廳不是沒有原因的,我很喜歡在Issaya的用餐體驗。
Have been booked a table for lunch at Issaya once I knew I got a trip to Bangkok. Want to visit Issaya for long! The experience is awesome, totally understand why Issaya can be in Asia's 50 Best restaurants.
地點在一間百年歷史大屋裡,不在市中心,位置有點偏僻,建議坐uber/計程車前往。走的時候店員會幫忙叫計程車的。一到達就看到漂亮的風景。在屋後是一個香草園+小型農場。這裡的總廚Ian是想把"Farm to Table"這概念用於泰菜上。
Better take uber or taxi to visit Issaya. The white house was built more than a hundred years ago. The surroundings is very beautiful. Behind the house it's a farm, Chef Ian is presenting "farm to table" at Issaya.
裡面的裝潢和選用的色調都是比較強調顏色的運用。很喜歡他們的藍色牆壁,別具一格。當天是平日來,人不是很多。但都建議先訂位,好讓餐廳團隊有準備。他們有室外和室內的位置,炎熱的天氣下還是坐裡面比較好,有冷氣,用餐的時候不會那麼熱。
Colorful decorations inside. Even though there're not many customers during weekdays, better make reservations so that the restaurant team can have better preparations. Indoors and Outdoors seating.
天氣太熱怕喝完酒不舒服,所以與男友點了泰式奶茶和西瓜汁。難得不過甜,很不錯喝。
I have headache if I have wine before going outdoors under super hot weather. We ordered Thai iced tea and watermelon juice. Not too sweet, we like the drinks.
Mieng Tuna
鮪魚他他。做成小塔狀,賣相十分精緻。鮪魚混以椰子肉、薑碎、檸檬葉,再配上魚露椰糖醬汁,充滿泰菜風味,漂亮又好吃的開胃菜。
Chopped Fresh Tuna Tartare, Coconut, Ginger, Peanut and Betel Leaf in a Palm Sugar-fish Sauce Dressing. Fresh and aromatic appetizer.
Salad Ped Krob
慢煮香辣鴨腿伴紅辣椒汁。還以為這道菜會很濃郁但又比想像中清新可口,鴨腿肉是慢煮的,肉質嫩滑帶鴨香。配以紅洋蔥、香菜、楊桃,吃起來開胃味道亦豐富。
Slow-Cooked Duck Leg, Tropical Fruit, Roasted Cashew Nuts in A Long Red Chili Pepper Dressing. Duck leg is very tender, The combination is good as there're star fruits and red onion salad to eat with duck legs.
Choo-Chee Salmon Rom Kwan
紅咖喱慢煮煙燻鮭魚。上桌的時候是以瓶罩去罩著鮭魚,一掀蓋後煙霧瀰漫,魚肉有很濃很香的煙燻味,魚質很嫩又不澀,加上紅咖喱醬汁,配合得很好吃。
Slow-Cooked Smoked Atlantic Salmon with Jerusalem Artichokes in A Homemade Red Curry Sauce. It's smoked inside a jar before serving on the table. Strong and flavorful smokey scent, salmon is tender, and it's very tasty with red curry sauce.
Mussamun Gae
馬沙文咖喱羊膝。非常喜歡吃羊膝,可吃到每一口都是肉。肉質嫩而有肉汁,馬沙文咖喱是泰國一種濃郁但不辣的咖哩,很香的豆寇和茴香味道,我們還另外加點糯米飯拌醬汁同吃呢!
Lamb Shank Simmered in Mussamun Curry Served with Pickled Cucumber. Lamb shank is juciy and tender, we love to eat lamb shank because it doesn't have small bones, can enjoy every meaty bite. Rich and creamy Mussamun curry sauce, it's a Thai curry sauce. We decided to order sticky rice to eat with the Mussamun curry.
Kanom Tung Taek
泰式椰香鬆餅 (席前炮製)。這個甜點是店員即席在我們面前做的。她先把椰奶和雪葩、卡士達醬舖在蕉葉上面,然後她把乾冰倒在巧克力碗底下,在把巧克力碗丟在蕉葉上,非常特別!本身裡面的椰香鬆餅已經很鬆軟很香,旁邊的配料算是增加視覺效果吧。
Cold Coconut Crepe Soufflé for Two with A Variety of Thai Condiments. The staff made this dessert in front of us. First she spread the coconut milk and custard on the banana leaf, and she poured some dry ice under the chocolate bowl. After that, she threw the chocolate bowl on the banana leaves. Crepe souffle are soft and delicious, it's tasty enough to eat without the custards and sorbets/
最後他們還送了我們椰子味的小餅乾。這裡是有套餐的但我們選擇散點。午餐與晚餐價錢一樣,這一頓吃了3700多泰幣,不便宜但絕對值得一試。
