之前因些公事到台北留了幾天,剛好要送Liz (她的食記: 美食家的自學之路) Pierre Herme月餅,所以也順道跟她吃個晚餐。之前就看到她介紹了Meze,她高度推薦這裡,我很相信她的口味,所以也找機會來。
Meze是土耳其文的小碟,像tapas一樣,這裡上的也是小碟小碟的前菜主菜。中文名很有意思,叫"槑喆",跟"沒轍"同音,槑是梅的古字,喆是哲的古字。店面只有十餘個座位,只做晚市,來吃前一定要先訂位。餐廳風格有點地中海風,也有點中東風。主要的料理部分就在餐桌排的中間。
坐下後,朋友決定當天吃的都給大廚為我們準備。我們只要等吃好了。
Going to introduce this amazing bistro at Taipei. Meze, serving tapas style dishes with Chef's own creations. Chef Ada was working at Nonzero, one of the well-known restaurant in Taipei before. All dishes are greatly done!
蜂蜜葡萄柚泡泡
看到蜂蜜跟葡萄柚這個組合便點了,作為佐飲料,因為很喜歡這兩者的味道。加上氣泡水,順口好喝。

水波煮土雞肉伴甜豆
這前菜看起來很像很簡單,但是要做得好卻一點也不容易。首先雞肉一定要處理得覺原來稍有不慎,肉汁變柴,就會變得不好吃。雞肉是選用土雞,濃郁的雞肉味道,即使是用了雞胸也很鮮嫩。甜豆亦處身理得好,豆跟豆莢都剩下鮮爽的部分。
Boiled free range chicken breast with sweet peas. I enjoyed this as the chef can make these simple ingredients to an unforgettable dish - from the tenderness of the chicken and the sweetness from the peas
香煎小卷
只要小卷新鮮,要做得好吃並不難。小卷分開了兩個部分,鮮美又彈牙。配上時蘿跟油漬番茄,蠻開胃的一道小菜。
If squid is fresh, it shouldn't go wrong. They separate the squid into two parts, pan fried, and served with full and semi dried tomato in oil.
紅喉魚
我很喜歡吃紅喉魚,所以看到被端上桌的時候有驚喜了一下。紅喉魚的魚肉很細滑,魚味鮮甜,魚油亦豐,跟喜之次有異曲同工之妙。他們把魚煎香,配上秋葵跟醃檸檬。吃前店員已貼心地送上筷子。畢竟吃整條魚以筷子起肉比較方便。
Rosy seabass. Fine and sweet fish meat. They pan fried the fish with okra and salted lemon. They gave us chopsticks to enjoy the fish, more convenient to eat for Taiwanese.
油封鴨肉配火箭菜沙拉
台灣的食材真的很好,鴨肉特別有肉香,皮雖不夠酥香但脆度很夠。配上火箭菜、柚子的沙拉,做得到位,好吃。

後豬腿肉、蘆筍
這兩道都是用烤的方法去呈上的。豬肉看起來顏色不深,看起來又乾,但吃起來味道很好,肉質爽嫩,蘆筍也是,鮮爽好吃。兩者都有很香的爐烤香。
This dish can show the simplicity taste of the food. Both of the ingredients just use salt and pepper to grill, and they're delicious.
Meze手工麵,像米一樣的意大利麵叫做orzo,是他們自己做的。簡單地用上雞高湯跟綠花椰菜煮,麵粒夠軟但非常有咬口,很美味!如果份量可以多一點就好了 XD
Meze housemade pasta. They are orzo, a kind of pasta which look like rice. They just simply added broccoli and chicken broth, orzo is soft yet chewy, and it's very delicious! I wish I can have more
甜點: 無花果佐蜂蜜核桃藍紋起司
全都是我愛吃的,新鮮的無花果多汁亦甜,比吃蛋糕更愉快
Dessert: fresh figs with blue cheese, honey and walnut. Figs and blue cheese are my always favorite, this is a perfect desserts, better than having cakes
最後還有自製蛋白餅、紅無籽葡萄、焦糖榛果和熱茶。很喜歡他們做的小菜,有機會還會再來。
At last we have meringue, grapes and caramel hazelnut and hot tea. Definitely will come back again!
